Satellite-connected remote monitoring

Know what's happening at remote sites — from anywhere.

GMIS designs and manufactures rugged satellite-enabled data acquisition hardware and a cloud dashboard that lets you monitor fluid levels, flows, leaks, pressure and images from sites with no power, no phone line and no cell coverage.

  • 18–24 mo Typical battery life
  • 15 min Minimum scan interval
  • Global Inmarsat IDP coverage

Products

Purpose-built hardware for remote sites

One platform, several form factors — from a simple pond-level monitor to a full HMI-connected site with cameras.

GMIS-LFM

GMIS-LFM

Level & Flow Monitor / Remote Acquisition Device

A satellite-connected monitor designed for sites where reliable data is critical — storage vessels, ponds, pressure lines, flow meters and leak detection.

  • 3 × 4–20 mA analog input channels
  • 4 × 24 VDC digital inputs (configurable as counters)
  • 3 relay outputs, 1 × 4–20 mA analog output
  • Modbus RS485 two-wire interface
  • Long-life Li-ion battery, no solar required
GMIS Pond Monitor

GMIS Pond Monitor

Fluid level & leak detection

A turn-key kit for tailings ponds and storage dams. Hydrostatic depth sensors, configurable tank geometry and volume formulas, and SMS/email alarms when levels move outside safe bounds.

  • 2–5 m hydrostatic depth sensors (4–20 mA)
  • Owner-defined tank shape & volume formulas
  • Barrels, mm, m³ or custom display units
  • High-level and low-level alarm set points

High-resolution remote imaging

Larger satellite units pair data acquisition with scheduled JPEG capture — up to ~30 images per cycle and 40 analog channels, plus Modbus data and HMI CSV ingest for sites with RedLion Graphite and similar controllers.

  • Up to 30 high-res JPEGs per upload
  • Up to 40 × 32-bit analog channels
  • CSV ingest from HMIs & smart devices
  • 1-minute satellite cadence available

How it works

Engineered for sites where nothing else reaches

Satellite first

Inmarsat IDP modems, remotely programmable over the satellite link. No cell coverage required.

Years on a battery

Typical 18–24 months on a single Li-ion pack at 15-minute scan / 2-hour upload. No solar panel needed — batteries are swap-and-recharge.

Configurable in the field

Tune the scan interval, upload cadence, alarm set points and probe ranges from the web dashboard — no site visit.

Alerts that reach humans

SMS and email notifications on leak, high-water, overflow and low-battery events. Daily CSV summaries delivered to your inbox.

Historic data, on demand

Every sample is archived and exportable as CSV. Plot trends, share with regulators, or pipe into your own analytics.

Partner-branded portals

Each customer gets a sub-domain (e.g. yourco.gmis.io), your logo, and user-level access control.

Cloud dashboard

One portal. Every site. Your branding.

The GMIS dashboard ingests data from every device you own — small 4–20 mA pond monitors, full HMI sites, and camera nodes — and shows them on a single partner-branded web application.

Applications

Where GMIS gets deployed

Tailings & storage ponds

Continuous level, volume and leak monitoring with user-defined pond geometry.

Tank level

Fluid levels in remote storage tanks with accurate volume conversion.

Pressure & flow

PSIG/PSIA pressure sensing and battery-powered Modbus flow meters.

Leak detection

Alarm-triggered satellite sends so you know within minutes, not days.

Remote cameras

Scheduled high-resolution image capture at unpowered sites.

HMI integrations

Emailed-CSV ingest from RedLion Graphite and compatible HMIs.

Talk to us about your site.

Whether it's a single pond or a network of remote monitoring nodes, we'll scope the hardware, get it on the dashboard and have you watching live data in days — not months.
